Alongside the return to school, a rise in lice often lingers on the horizon. 😣 If your child has an unusually itchy scalp, you’ll want to check their hair pronto! While these little bugs can be tough to spot, here are some tips to make the process infinitely easier:
– Use a bright light and a magnifying glass
– Separate small portions of hair with a pair of tweezers
– Look for movement, not just little bugs
– Focus on the scalp, behind the ears, and at the bottom of the neck
Most important of all? Re-check once a week for two weeks! Eggs can be even more difficult to spot, and re-checking will allow you to quickly catch any changes!
