Seasonal Allergies- Back to School Tips

If your child has an allergy, it’s important that you educate them about the severity of allergic reactions. Teach your child the basics of an EpiPen, not to be afraid to tell you if they experience any exclusions or bullying due to their allergy, about basic safety rules around managing allergies at school, and the steps of an emergency plan.

Here are 5 rules that you can enforce while at school:

  1. Avoid sharing food
  2. Don’t share utensils or straws
  3. Wash hands before and after eating
  4. Tell an adult if you don’t feel well
  5. Tell others about your allergy
