October 6th to 12th 2019 is Mental Illness Awareness Week

By age 40, half of all Canadians will have or have had a mental illness. Being able to recognize the signs of mental illness is extremely important, as it can directly and indirectly affect you and those around you. Mental Illness Awareness Week is an essential initiative, as it was designed to help open the eyes of Canadians to the reality of mental illness, while also helping to improve awareness for the crucial need of access to proper treatment.

If you or someone that you know is suffering from a mental illness, speak with a member of your health care team today for more information or to access help.
